Massage therapists
Treatment rooms need buffer time between clients — for linen changes, ventilation, and your own recovery between deep tissue sessions. Nextro lets you set the right gap between bookings, take card payment upfront, and keep your regular clients returning on their maintenance schedule.

The problems you're solving
Treatment rooms need real gaps between bookings
A 60-minute deep tissue massage requires fresh linen, clean surfaces, ventilation, and time for you to recover before the next client. A booking system that allows appointments to follow immediately creates an unsustainable pace and a poor experience for both you and your clients.
Intake form information arrives too late
Knowing a client's injuries, conditions, and pressure preferences before they lie on the table changes the entire session. When this information is gathered verbally at the start of the appointment, you lose time and can't prepare properly.
Regular clients drift off their maintenance cycle
A client who receives monthly deep tissue sessions for chronic back pain is a reliable part of your income. When the rebooking process requires them to contact you, the cycle breaks — and they may not come back for three months, or at all.
Pricing different massage types consistently is difficult
A 30-minute Swedish neck and shoulder massage should cost less than a 90-minute deep tissue full body. Managing different durations and prices through informal booking methods leads to confusion and inconsistent income.
How Nextro solves it
What you get
Buffer time built into your schedule
Add 10 or 15 minutes of buffer after each session for linen changes, cleanup, and preparation. Clients only see times where a full buffer exists — your schedule is sustainable and professional.
Service-specific durations and prices
Swedish: 60 minutes. Deep tissue full body: 90 minutes. Hot stone: 75 minutes. Sports massage: 60 minutes. Pregnancy massage: 60 minutes. Each service is listed correctly.
Preparation notes and intake reminders
Add intake notes to your booking page — drink water before the session, avoid eating 90 minutes before, arrive in comfortable clothes. For first-time clients, a pre-appointment intake question can be sent after booking.
Upfront card payment for every session
Every booking is paid at the time of booking via Stripe. Massage sessions are often booked by clients who are in pain and motivated to attend — but the few who cancel at the last minute cost you significant revenue.
Rebooking prompts for maintenance clients
After each session, Nextro prompts clients to rebook. For a client on a 3-week deep tissue cycle for sports recovery, this arrives at the right time — before they lose momentum.
Treatment packages and session bundles
Sell 4 or 6-session packages for clients in active recovery or ongoing maintenance. Clients commit to a programme, you receive the income upfront.

Questions answered
Common questions
Answers about booking, payments, and getting started with Nextro.
How should massage therapists add buffer time between sessions?
Nextro's buffer time feature lets you add a set number of minutes after each appointment that are blocked from new bookings. Clients never see the buffer — they see only valid start times. A 10 or 15-minute buffer after a 90-minute deep tissue session is a common setup.
Can massage therapists take intake form responses through Nextro?
Nextro's booking page supports preparation notes visible to clients before they book. For detailed intake forms, many massage therapists direct clients to a separate form after the booking is confirmed. The booking system handles scheduling and payment; intake can be handled separately.
What cancellation policy should massage therapists use?
A 24-hour cancellation window is standard. Full refund if cancelled more than 24 hours in advance; no refund or 50% retention within 24 hours. For longer sessions (90 minutes), a 48-hour window is reasonable given the difficulty of filling the slot at short notice.
Can I sell a course of massage sessions for a client in recovery?
Yes. Nextro's credit pack feature lets you sell prepaid session bundles — 4 or 6 massage sessions at a packaged rate. The client purchases the bundle online and redeems one credit per booking. It's particularly effective for clients managing chronic pain or sports injury rehabilitation.
Does Nextro work for mobile massage therapists?
Yes. Mobile massage therapists use the same booking page and payment system. You can include travel area information and any requirements for the client's space on your booking page. Travel time can be built into the service duration to reflect the full time commitment.
