Nextro never holds funds

Nextro is booking software. Customer payments are processed by Stripe and go directly to the business — not through Nextro.

Payout timing follows Stripe

Stripe determines payout timing based on the business's account settings and their standard schedule. Nextro has no involvement in payout timing.

Subscription billed separately

Nextro's £29/month subscription is billed by Paddle — separately from customer booking payments. Your subscription cost never comes from booking revenue.

Nextro is software infrastructure — a booking platform, not a payment processor. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited. Nextro's subscription is a separate SaaS fee billed by Paddle.

Deposits, cancellations, and refunds

Deposits

When you set a price for a service, customers pay that amount upfront when they book. You decide the amount — full payment or a partial deposit. The payment is collected by Stripe and routed to your connected account. Nextro never touches it.

Cancellations

You set your own cancellation window — for example, 48 hours. Customers who cancel before the window can receive a refund. Customers who cancel inside the window or don't show up are subject to your policy. Nextro applies your policy automatically.

Refunds

When a refund is appropriate under your policy, it is processed back to the customer's original card via Stripe. Businesses initiate refunds — Nextro does not make independent refund decisions. Refund processing times follow Stripe's standard schedule.

No-shows

If a customer booked and paid but doesn't attend, your no-show policy determines the outcome. Because payment was taken at booking, your income is protected regardless of attendance.

No Nextro commission on bookings

Nextro charges a flat £29/month subscription — billed separately by Paddle. Nextro takes no commission from any booking payment. A small service fee is added to the customer's checkout total, but this never reduces your listed price.

Stripe's standard processing fees apply to card transactions. The service fee shown above is an example — actual amounts vary with transaction size.

Payments & Stripe Connect — FAQs

How card payments, payouts, and Stripe Connect work on Nextro.

Do I need Stripe to use Nextro?

Stripe is optional. If you only take cash or in-person payments, you can use Nextro without connecting Stripe. Card payment acceptance requires a connected Stripe account. You can add Stripe at any time from your account settings.

How do payouts work?

When a customer pays by card, the payment is processed by Stripe and routed to your connected bank account via Stripe Connect. Nextro never receives, holds, or has access to those funds. Payout timing follows Stripe's standard schedule — typically 2–7 business days for new accounts, faster for established accounts.

Does Nextro hold customer payments?

No. Nextro never holds customer funds. All card payments are processed by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited and routed directly to the business's connected bank account. Nextro is booking software — not a payment processor or escrow service.

Who controls refunds?

Businesses set and own their own refund and cancellation policies. Nextro provides the tools to configure and apply these policies automatically, but refund decisions are made by the business — not by Nextro. Card refunds are processed back through Stripe.

How long do payouts take?

Payout timing is determined by Stripe's standard payout schedule and your individual Stripe account settings. New Stripe accounts typically receive payouts within 2–7 business days. Stripe may offer faster payout schedules for verified accounts. Nextro has no control over payout timing.

Can I take deposits?

Yes. When you set a price for a service, customers pay that price at the time of booking. You decide the amount — whether it's a partial deposit or the full service price. The payment is collected by Stripe and routed to your account. You set your own cancellation policy for what happens to deposits.

What payment methods are supported?

Nextro supports card payments (processed by Stripe) and cash/in-person payments (logged in your dashboard for record-keeping). Stripe supports major credit and debit cards. Cash appointments are tracked without any card processing.

Can customers pay online and in person?

Yes. You can offer both. Online card payments are collected at the time of booking via Stripe. Cash or in-person appointments can also be logged in Nextro — customers select this option at booking and pay you directly at the appointment.

What happens if a customer cancels?

Your cancellation policy — which you set — determines what happens. If the customer cancels within the policy window, a refund can be processed back to their card via Stripe. If they cancel outside the window, your policy may retain the payment. Nextro applies your policy automatically.

Can I disconnect Stripe later?

Yes. You can disconnect your Stripe account from Nextro's settings at any time. You can still use Nextro for cash/in-person appointments. To re-enable card payments, you reconnect a Stripe account.
