How Stripe Connect works in Nextro

Three steps from connecting Stripe to receiving payments on every booking.

  1. 01

    Connect your Stripe account

During Nextro setup, you connect your Stripe account. This takes a few minutes and links your bank account to receive customer payments directly.

  2. 02

    Customer pays via Stripe Checkout

When a customer completes a booking, they pay through a secure Stripe Checkout page. The payment is processed by Stripe directly — Nextro is the software layer, not the payment processor.

  3. 03

Payment routed to your bank account

The payment is routed to your connected bank account via Stripe Connect on Stripe's standard payout schedule. Nextro never holds your revenue.

Why direct payouts matter for service businesses

Where your money goes — and when — matters. Not all booking software routes it directly to you.

You control your money

With Stripe Connect, your revenue goes into your own Stripe account — not a platform wallet. You have full visibility and control through the Stripe dashboard.

No Nextro commission on payments

Nextro doesn't take a percentage of your revenue. Your flat monthly subscription covers the platform — your payment volume is entirely your own.

No platform-imposed payout delays

Some platforms hold your earnings in a platform wallet and release them on their own schedule. With Stripe Connect, Stripe's standard payout schedule applies — not an additional platform delay on top of that.

Payment collected at the point of booking

Card payment happens when the customer books — not after the appointment. This secures revenue upfront and removes the need to chase payments after delivery.

Platform-managed payments vs Stripe Connect

Not all payment systems are the same. The difference matters.

Platform-managed payments

Some booking platforms process payments into their own account, then transfer your earnings periodically. This means your revenue is in someone else's hands until they release it, and you may wait longer for access to your money.

Nextro with Stripe Connect

Nextro routes payments directly to your Stripe account via Stripe Connect. The platform does not hold your revenue. Payouts are processed by Stripe on their standard schedule to your connected bank account.

Stripe is a registered trademark of Stripe, Inc. Nextro uses Stripe Connect for card payment processing and is not Stripe itself. Payout timing is determined by Stripe's standard schedule and your Stripe account settings.

Payments & Stripe Connect — FAQs

How card payments, payouts, and Stripe Connect work on Nextro.

Do I need Stripe to use Nextro?

Stripe is optional. If you only take cash or in-person payments, you can use Nextro without connecting Stripe. Card payment acceptance requires a connected Stripe account. You can add Stripe at any time from your account settings.

How do payouts work?

When a customer pays by card, the payment is processed by Stripe and routed to your connected bank account via Stripe Connect. Nextro never receives, holds, or has access to those funds. Payout timing follows Stripe's standard schedule — typically 2–7 business days for new accounts, faster for established accounts.

Does Nextro hold customer payments?

No. Nextro never holds customer funds. All card payments are processed by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited and routed directly to the business's connected bank account. Nextro is booking software — not a payment processor or escrow service.

Who controls refunds?

Businesses set and own their own refund and cancellation policies. Nextro provides the tools to configure and apply these policies automatically, but refund decisions are made by the business — not by Nextro. Card refunds are processed back through Stripe.

How long do payouts take?

Payout timing is determined by Stripe's standard payout schedule and your individual Stripe account settings. New Stripe accounts typically receive payouts within 2–7 business days. Stripe may offer faster payout schedules for verified accounts. Nextro has no control over payout timing.
